Green has become the buzz word of the day. However, I have found that most people who are promoting green building are not living green themselves. Just today I visited a promoter of green building technology and learned the he did not know to check for conditioned air losses in his home. He admitted that he had removed a register from his ceiling and noticed that there is a large gap around the boot and the ceiling and did not fill the gap nor did he remove the others in his home. This simple fix will save lots of conditioned air and it will improve the indoor air quality that he and his family breaths everyday.
